Gilbert Soliz is an emerging talent on the New York scene. His interest in the art of beauty started at an early age as both his parents were hair-stylists and owned a salon. When Gilbert was 19 years old he joined Macy's working the counters of M.A.C and Chanel. It was here that we began to harness his exceptional ability to transform real women. In 2008 Gilbert moved to New York to pursuit his dream of working in fashion. In a short time Gilbert has worked on both the couture catwalks of Paris and the runways of New York. Designers he has worked with include Dior Couture, Valentino, Givenchy, Galliano Men's, Charlotte Ronson, Park Choon Moo, Keith Lissner and Tony Cohen amongst others. Gilbert Soliz is currently a PRO Lead Artist for Sephora’s Official Beauty Team. In his capacity as a lead artist he shares his artistic vision with other make-up artists at Sephora sponsored shows and with Sephora’s creative department on shoots for the latest campaigns. He has also had the opportunity to share his expertise with noted editors and publications, as an expert on the latest beauty trends and must-have products. The words that sums up Gilbert’s approach to beauty are modern and unconventional.
